Cotillion History The Epsilon Chi Omega Chapter sponsored its first cotillion in 1958 and celebrated our youth annually until 2009. The chapter now sponsors its cotillion biennially. The 2023 cotillion will be our 56th Debutante Cotillon. A number of young ladies within the Florence, Darlington, Columbia, Pamplico, Hartsville, and other surrounding cities have participated in our Debutante Cotillion. Epsilon Chi Omega sees this as an opportunity to promote the interest of young ladies in the community by providing them an opportunity to be rewarded for their academic success as well as provide an opportunity for young ladies to grow in a supportive environment that encourage attributes of finer womanhood. |
Purpose of the Cotillion 1. To perform a service for highly deserving young ladies in our community. 2. To help to inspire them to become refined, highly-cultured, dependable and useful citizens. 3. To provide some reward and awards for meritorious conduct and achievement. 4. To add several worthwhile social and educational events to the other cultural activities sponsored by organizations and schools of the Pee Dee area of South Carolina. |
